Flying In & Out

Arrivals should follow Tyabb's normal circuit. i.e. all circuits to the east. Please read your ERSA and note our noise abatement procedures.

  • Note that there may be display aircraft practising to the west of the field on Saturday, and normal circuit training traffic to the east. If it is necessary to join upwind, please do so along the centre line of runway 17/35.
  • DO NOT OPERATE WEST OF THE CENTRE LINE OF RWY 17/35.
  • SEE-AND-AVOID, and please be patient and make allowances for pilots with less experience than you.
  • When possible give priority to display aircraft.
  • Contact Tyabb Unicom on landing for parking advice on Saturday. You will be marshalled to your parking spot on Sunday.
  • ALL VISITING AIRCRAFT MUST PLAN TO ARRIVE BEFORE 1030 hrs on Sunday.
  • Between 11:30 and 16:30 on Sunday 4th March all circuits will be to the WEST.  Aircraft arriving after 10:30 on Sunday will NOT BE GIVEN PERMISSION TO LAND except by prior arrangement

​ARRIVALS:

Runway 17:
Pilots are requested to roll out to the southern turn off or the end of the runway and use the taxiway back to the cross strip. Marshals will assist you crossing the active runway to park on the east/west strip.
If you require fuel, please indicate by hand signals to the marshals that you require fuel. You will be directed to the bowser. (See REFUELLING ARRANGEMENTS: below)

Runway 35:
Pilots are requested to turn left at the east/west strip. If the full length of the runway is required, please roll through and use the taxiway back to the cross strip. Marshals will assist you crossing the active runway to park on the east/west strip.
If you require fuel, please roll out to the end of the runway and indicate by hand signals to the marshals that you require fuel. You will be directed to the bowser. (See REFUELLING ARRANGEMENTS: below)

A minibus service will be provided to take you and your passengers from your aircraft to the main gate. Please do not attempt to walk across the active runway. Remember to take everything you will need during the day as access to your aircraft will be restricted while the airshow is in progress.

DEPARTURES:

  • A minibus service will be provided to take you and your passengers back to your aircraft at the conclusion of the airshow. 
  • Please follow the Marshals directions, you will depart faster.
  • If you require fuel, please indicate by hand signals to the marshals that you require fuel. You will be directed to the bowser.

 

REFUELLING ARRANGEMENTS:

  • The only fuel available is from the fixed bowser to the north of the clubhouse, which may cause some congestion.
  • If you require fuel, please arrive early and indicate by hand signals to the marshals that you require fuel. You will be directed to the bowser.
  • Fuel will NOT be available between 1030 - 1630 hrs.
  • Payment may be made by cash, credit card or EFTPOS at Flight Ops.
